4 suspects held in killing of TNI soldier in Tangerang
Police recorded 10 stab wounds on the victim and are still probing the motive and the role of three others.
South Tangerang Police have detained four civilians as suspects in the killing of Indonesian Army soldier Arif Budi Sampurna in Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency, Banten. The victim was found dead on Jalan Raya Pondok Hijau Golf, Curug Sangereng, on Sunday (19/7) at around 05:45 WIB. Police arrested the suspects less than 24 hours after the body was discovered. Police said BR, RRG and MKN were suspected of assaulting the victim, while EYR was suspected of stabbing him to death. An external examination found 10 stab wounds, with five each on the front and back of the body. The four suspects are being held at the Tahti detention facility at Polda Metro Jaya. Investigators from South Tangerang Police, together with Denpom 1 Jaya Tangerang and Korem 052/Wijayakrama, are still examining the motive and the legal status of three other people who were also detained.
