Woman's body found in parked car at Juanda Airport
Investigators suspect the victim had been dead for several days; the car is said to be a Bangkalan regency government vehicle.
The body of a woman was found inside a car parked in the Terminal 1 area of Juanda International Airport, Surabaya, on Wednesday (24/6) afternoon. Several online taxi drivers became suspicious after seeing unusual fluid dripping from under the car, then found the victim in the front passenger seat in what appeared to be a dead condition. The Inafis team of the Sidoarjo Police and Basarnas later evacuated the body from the black Toyota Innova. Basarnas team commander Gani said the evacuation took about 25-30 minutes because the cabin space was cramped. He said the body had decomposed and was releasing fluid, indicating the victim had died several days before being found. CNN Indonesia also reported that the car was suspected to be an official vehicle of the Bangkalan Pemkab with license plate M 1090 GP. Police are still investigating the victim's identity and cause of death.
