Widow of SQ321 passenger who died files UK suit against SIA

Linda Kitchen, the widow of British passenger Geoffrey Kitchen, has begun High Court proceedings in Britain against Singapore Airlines over the severe turbulence that struck Flight SQ321 in May 2024. She is seeking damages after suffering a broken back when the London-to-Singapore flight plunged over Myanmar and diverted to Bangkok. Geoffrey Kitchen, 73, died after the incident. British court papers cited by local media show two claims from the family: one by Linda Kitchen and another brought on behalf of her husband's estate. Court records also show several other passengers suing the airline. A 2026 report by Singapore's Transport Safety Investigation Bureau found the turbulence was convectively induced.
