West Java closes SPMB Phase 1, re-registration starts June 26
Students not yet placed can apply in Phase 2 on June 30 and July 1, 2, 3, and 6, 2026.
The West Java provincial government has closed Phase 1 of the New Student Admission System (SPMB). Prospective students who have been assigned to their destination schools must re-register on June 26 and 29, 2026, while those who have not yet secured a school can still join Phase 2. West Java Education Office head Purwanto said this year’s process is aimed at maximizing available school quotas under the principles of transparency, fairness, and accountability. The West Java provincial government is also strengthening cooperation with private schools because the capacity of public schools is not enough to accommodate all SMP and madrasah tsanawiyah graduates in West Java. Phase 2 will open on June 30 and on July 1, 2, 3, and 6, 2026.
