Veda Ega Pratama finishes second in Moto3 Malaysia GP

The Sepang result was Veda's second Moto3 podium, after he passed several rivals from eighth on the grid.

Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama finished second in the Moto3 Malaysia GP race at the Sepang Circuit on Sunday. The Honda Team Asia rider reached the podium after starting from eighth on the grid. Maximo Quiles of CFMoto Gaviota Aspar Team won the race, while Alvaro Carpe of Red Bull KTM Ajo finished third. In the 15-lap race, Veda rode aggressively from the start and moved into the leading group. He traded passes with Alvaro Carpe and home rider Hakim Danish, then took back second place on the final lap and held it to the finish. The result surpassed Veda's previous podium finish, when he came third in a Moto3 race in Brasil.
