Utah court sees video placing Charlie Kirk suspect on rooftop
What's new: Prosecutors say the footage captured Tyler Robinson in a sniper position and fleeing moments after the shot.
Prosecutors in Utah on Tuesday played surveillance video they say shows Tyler Robinson on a rooftop moments before and after the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University last September. Investigator David Hull testified at a preliminary hearing in Provo that the footage showed Robinson in a sniper position on the Losee Building, then standing and moving across the roof after the shot. Robinson, 23, faces seven charges, including aggravated murder, and prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty. Defense lawyer Kathryn Nester challenged parts of the evidence and raised the possibility that someone else was involved. Robinson turned himself in the day after the killing and has not entered a plea.
