A US strike on Iran's Qeshm island appears to have hit a family home in a densely populated neighborhood, killing three people, according to an analysis of videos, photos and satellite imagery reviewed by weapons experts and The New York Times. Iranian officials identified the dead as a husband, wife and their 2-year-old son, and said two other children survived after being pulled from the rubble. The strike in Qeshm City's Chah-Tangu neighborhood left a crater at least 9 meters wide. Analysts Trevor Ball and Frederic Gras said the damage was consistent with a 2,000-pound Mark-84 bomb. CENTCOM said it was reviewing reports of civilian casualties after the broader July 30 strikes in southern Iran.
