US envoy heads to Norway, Russia for new Ukraine war talks
What's new: The Oslo meetings could include Volodymyr Zelensky, NATO and major European powers as US-Kyiv tensions rise.
President Donald Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to travel to Norway this week for another round of talks on ending the war in Ukraine, with a separate trip to Russia also planned. People familiar with the matter told Reuters that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may join the Oslo meetings alongside Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, representatives from Britain, France, Germany and Poland, the European Union, and NATO. Witkoff's Russia stop is expected to include talks with President Vladimir Putin and discussion of jailed American Stephen Hubbard. The plans remain tentative. The diplomacy comes as Kyiv accuses Washington of slowing military support, including limits on Starshield service and delays to Patriot missile deliveries.
