Up to 15,000 England supporters are expected in Dallas on Wednesday for England’s World Cup opener against Croatia, according to the United Kingdom Football Policing Unit. The unit said fans from England have bought 89,000 tickets across the 104-match tournament, though that total does not show how many are for the group-stage game. England’s official supporters club sold its 4,022-ticket allocation for the match. Fans without tickets have faced steep resale prices, with some seats listed above £1,300. Supporters also face tighter rules inside Dallas Stadium, where venue officials have told England’s fan group that large flags cannot be hung over LED boards and only small flags will be allowed in general areas.
