Ukraine regains Starlink speeds after week of military limits
What's new: Kyiv said Starlink and Starshield are again running above 400 kph, restoring key drone, logistics and frontline links.
Ukraine said Saturday that Starlink and its military counterpart Starshield were operating at high speeds again after more than a week of restrictions that disrupted military operations and deepened tensions with Washington. Defence Minister Yevhenii Khmara said monitoring showed stable connections at more than 400 kph, up from limits that had cut service when drones moved above about 160 kph. Kyiv relies on the SpaceX systems for frontline communications, logistics and some drone operations. President Volodymyr Zelensky had accused the United States of hobbling Ukraine's response to Russian attacks by throttling the network. Donald Trump said he would speak with Elon Musk if problems continued, while Musk has argued any disruption would be the US government's responsibility, not SpaceX's.
