UBK students demand 5 BEM officials resign over alleged Rp20 million
The rectorate has suspended the FH UBK BEM chair, while students gave a deadline until 6 July to meet their demands.
Students at Universitas Bung Karno are demanding that five BEM officials resign after allegations surfaced that they received Rp20 juta following a meeting with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka on 15 June 2026. The demand was posted by the BEM FH UBK account on Tuesday, 23 June, and named Muhammad Abdimaludin, Rafly Maulana Akbar, Mubarak Tuasamu, Pujiono, and Muhammad Rafli Bastian. The students asked them to record a public apology, accept academic and social consequences, and comply with the demand within 10 working days, until 6 July. At the same time, the UBK rectorate suspended Abdimaludin from his post as BEM FH chair while a code-of-ethics investigation is underway. YLBHI said the alleged payment to students after the event threatens the independence of the student movement and could weaken public criticism.
