The options under review reportedly include a multi-day operation against Iran’s nuclear program and a naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States reportedly struck Iran again early Tuesday local time, bombing Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian news agencies also reported explosions in the country’s south, including on Qeshm and in Bandar Lengeh. At the same time, The Atlantic reported that U.S. President Donald Trump is weighing further steps against Tehran after the Nov. 3 congressional midterm elections. The options discussed with Pete Hegseth, Dan Caine and Brad Cooper reportedly include attacks lasting from a few hours to several weeks, a possible multi-day operation against Iran’s nuclear program, and maintaining a U.S. naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. The report also said JD Vance sent a letter to Mohsen Rezaei to reopen direct talks.
