Two Whip Pink N2O factory bosses held as suspects
Defense lawyers are seeking a special case review, arguing Whip Pink is a food additive for culinary use, not a pharmaceutical product.
Bareskrim Polri has detained two executives of PT Suplaindo Sukses Sejahtera, Andi Hioe and Jasen Hioe, after naming them suspects in the production of Whip Pink-branded N2O gas. They have been held at the Bareskrim detention center since July 22, 2026 at 23.24 WIB for 20 days until August 10, 2026. Investigators charged them under Article 435 of Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health, alleging they produced and distributed N2O gas that did not meet quality and safety standards. In April 2026, police raided the Whip Pink factory in Jakarta and found the product was being made without legal authorization or a BPOM distribution permit. The suspects' legal counsel is now requesting a special case review, saying the product is a food additive for the culinary industry.
