British tourist dies after alleged assault by 4 Australians in Bali

Police are probing whether the victim's injuries caused his death, while the four suspects have already left Indonesia.

The Denpasar Police are investigating the death of British national Paul Innes Dougan, who is suspected of being the victim of a group assault at an entertainment venue in the Legian area of Badung, Bali. The victim was treated at Murni Teguh Hospital and then at BIMC Hospital before being declared dead. Police have not concluded the cause of death and are still waiting for forensic examination, including plans for an autopsy. Investigators are also questioning the victim's family, security guards, workers at the location, CCTV footage and video of the incident. From the initial probe, police suspect joint violence by several foreign nationals. Four Australians identified by the initials RGG, PAM, JRM and TRZ are suspected to be involved, but immigration data shows they have left Indonesia through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
