President Donald Trump will attend the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina on July 19, marking his first appearance at the tournament in the United States. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump will also go to a FIFA reception at Trump Tower in New York on July 17. FIFA president Gianni Infantino had previously said Trump would be at the final in New Jersey and join the trophy presentation. Trump has not attended any matches so far, though he drew scrutiny earlier in the tournament after asking Infantino to review Folarin Balogun's red card for the United States. FIFA later lifted Balogun's one-game suspension, but the US team still lost 4-1 to Belgium.
