President Donald Trump signaled the United States could keep striking Iran as tensions spread across the Gulf, with Kuwait reporting new drone attacks and a tanker hit in the Strait of Hormuz. Speaking at Camp David on Friday, Trump said fighting could continue and that Washington wanted to force Iran back to the table. On Saturday, Kuwait's military said drones hit several vital facilities, including a government structure in the north, but reported no casualties. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency also reported a projectile strike that damaged a vessel's engine room near Oman and a separate explosion near another tanker. The U.S. State Department issued fresh security alerts for Americans in 10 countries across the region.
