Trump comments on Nicki Minaj's body at Michigan rally
Minaj later took the stage in Port Huron and urged the crowd to back Republican candidates ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm vote.
President Donald Trump commented on rapper Nicki Minaj’s body during a Republican campaign rally in Port Huron, Michigan, on Sunday. Speaking to supporters, Trump first discussed the appearance of Ohio Sen. Jon Husted, then turned his attention to Minaj, who was in the arena. He said Minaj’s backside was “hard to miss” and asked her to stand, before expressing hope that the singer was not offended. Minaj then took the stage and praised Trump, saying he had “changed the energy of the country,” before urging the crowd to vote for Republican candidates in Michigan. The rally came amid a tight midterm contest, including the race for Michigan’s Senate seat between Abdul El-Sayed and Mike Rogers, ahead of the Nov. 3 vote.
