Truck hits Transjakarta Tebet Eco Park stop, driver flees
The impact damaged the ceiling, automatic door, glass and gate, while police review CCTV to track the truck.
A truck struck the Transjakarta Tebet Eco Park stop in South Jakarta on Thursday (25/6) at around 02.55 WIB, then left the scene. AKBP Ojo Ruslani, head of the Gakkum Subdirectorate of Polda Metro Jaya's Traffic Directorate, said the stop roof was hit by the truck carrying a load while the regular lane was closed for resurfacing work, forcing vehicles to be diverted into the busway lane. The collision damaged the ceiling, automatic door and glass at the stop, and caused the gate to stop working. Police are now investigating the truck's identity by checking CCTV footage. Separately, Ayu Wardhani, head of the public relations and CSR department at Transjakarta, said the stop toward Pluit continues to serve passengers while repairs are carried out with safety and customer comfort as priorities.
