Tim Ho Wan to close Plaza Singapura site on July 12 after 13 years
What's new: The Hong Kong chain plans 13 days of 30% discounts before the shutdown and a S$68 farewell dinner on the final night.
Tim Ho Wan will close its Plaza Singapura restaurant on July 12, ending a 13-year run at the Singapore site that became the chain’s first outlet outside Hong Kong. The company tied the closure to Plaza Singapura’s S$160 million redevelopment and said the location holds special significance because diners lined up for hours when it opened in 2013. Ahead of the shutdown, Tim Ho Wan will run a “13 Days of Gratitude” promotion from June 30 to July 12, offering 30% off a different dish each day. On the final evening, it will host a customer appreciation dinner with free-flow selected dim sum, beverages, live music and a goodie bag with merchandise and a S$30 voucher. Tim Ho Wan has nine outlets across Singapore.
