Medical drama “The Pitt” led the 2026 Emmy nominations with 25 nods, edging the final season of “Hacks,” which earned 24. Newcomers also broke through: “Widow’s Bay” took 19 nominations and Vince Gilligan’s “Pluribus” picked up 18. The nominations for the 78th Emmy Awards were presented Wednesday morning by Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller, with winners set to be revealed Sept. 14 in Los Angeles. Among notable misses, “Stranger Things” failed to land a best drama slot and collected seven nominations only in technical categories, while “Euphoria” was shut out of top series contention and Zendaya was its only main-category acting nominee.
