Asrul Azis Taba, chairman of Asosiasi Kesthuri and commissioner of PT Raudah Eksati Utama, has filed a pretrial challenge at Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Selatan after being named a suspect in the alleged corruption case involving the 2023-2024 additional hajj quota. The petition was registered on June 10, 2026, under number 89/Pid.Pra/2026/PN JKT.SEL, to test the legality of the KPK’s suspect designation. The first hearing is scheduled for June 19. KPK detained Asrul on June 8 along with PT Makassar Toraja Operations Director Ismail Adham. In the same case, KPK is also processing former Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas and his former special staff member Ishfah Abidal Aziz, alias Gus Alex. KPK estimates state losses in the case at Rp622 miliar based on a BPK audit.
