Tahir Solo Museum opens in Jebres, blending science and culture
The museum is still in a trial run before full opening and is meant to become an education, research and tourism hub for Solo.
Tahir Solo Museum opened in the Jebres area of Solo, Central Java, on Saturday (25/7). Built through Tahir Foundation, the museum is positioned as a new destination that combines historical collections, science, technology and culture. At the initial stage, managers are still running a trial period before the full public opening.
A number of educational installations and interactive collections have been prepared so history and science material is easier for visitors of all ages to understand. The museum is intended as a learning space for students, university students, researchers and the general public, while also supporting science and technology research activities. Beyond education and cultural preservation, its presence is also expected to strengthen Solo's position as a new science and culture tourism destination.
