Sudirman Said questioned again in Petral procurement graft case
His third questioning focused on procurement practices and pricing policy during his time at Pertamina and ESDM.
Former Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Sudirman Said was questioned again by investigators at the Attorney General’s Office on Friday, July 17, 2026, as a witness in the alleged corruption case involving crude oil and refinery product procurement at Pertamina Energy Trading Ltd. or Petral during 2008–2015. This was his third examination in the case. After the questioning at the Jampidsus Building in Jakarta, Sudirman said investigators were examining procurement practices and pricing policy. The information was explored from his role as Senior Vice President head of Integrated Supply Chain PT Pertamina in 2008–2009 and as Energy and Mineral Resources Minister in 2014–2016. In the case, the Attorney General’s Office has named seven suspects, including Mohammad Riza Chalid and IRW, who are suspected of being involved in arranging the oil procurement tender.
