Salary payout scheme for ASN via cooperatives sent to Kemenkeu
The government has not approved the plan, while current rules still require PNS salaries to be paid through commercial bank accounts.
Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono said a scheme to channel civil servant salaries through cooperatives has been submitted to the Kementerian Keuangan. He made the remarks after a limited coordination meeting on Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih in Jakarta on Wednesday. However, he did not detail the budget, payout mechanism, implementation timetable or the cooperatives that would be involved. Earlier, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperatives Ahmad Zabadi said there has been no formal government decision on expanding salary and pension payments for ASN through cooperatives. He said cooperatives are being prepared as payment partners, alongside PT Pos Indonesia and banks, without replacing banks, including regional development banks. At present, PNS salary disbursement is governed by PMK 11/PMK.05/2016 through centralized payments into commercial bank accounts.
