Singapore to auction 80 seized homes in S$3 billion laundering case
What’s next: online auctions for handbags and jewellery open Sept. 7, with more than 1,000 luxury items and additional property sales running into 2027.
Singapore will begin selling more than 80 properties and over 1,000 luxury goods forfeited in its S$3 billion money-laundering case, marking a major new phase in unwinding assets tied to the syndicate. Deloitte, appointed by the Singapore Police Force to realize the non-cash assets, said the disposals will start with two online-only auctions on Sept. 7 for 338 handbags and accessories and 286 jewellery pieces. Hotlotz plans 15 auctions through May 2027, while real estate will be sold progressively through auction and other methods. The case led to the conviction of 10 foreigners and the seizure of more than 200 properties, many in prime areas including Orchard Road and Sentosa.
