Singapore's HarbourFront Centre to shut July 27 for 33-story rebuild

What's next: ferry and cruise operations move 70 meters away in July, with routes, berths and schedules unchanged.

HarbourFront Centre in Singapore will cease operations on July 27 as owner Mapletree Investments moves ahead with plans to redevelop the site into a 33-story mixed-use building. Before the closure, the Singapore Cruise Centre will relocate to 5 HarbourFront Avenue from July 15, with Batam Fast Ferry starting from the new terminal on July 7 and other ferry operators and cruise services following on July 15. The new terminal is about 70 meters from the current one, and the operator said ferry routes, destinations, schedules and berth locations will stay the same. The project, first flagged in October 2025, is due for completion in the first half of 2031 and will include office and retail space plus an elevated park.
