Singapore police arrested a 39-year-old man after they said he injured a 14-year-old with a pair of pliers during a dispute in Yishun. Police received a call for assistance on Yishun Ring Road at about 7 p.m. on Aug. 2. Investigators found the man and the teenager had argued earlier that day over an incident involving the man’s power-assisted bicycle and the teen’s e-scooter, which damaged the man’s personal property. During the confrontation, the man allegedly used the pliers on the teenager, leaving superficial injuries. The pliers were seized, and the man is set to be charged on Aug. 4.
