Singapore MP Jamus Lim hospitalized with pneumonia after flu
What's new: His blood oxygen fell to the low 90s, and volunteers will cover his constituency sessions while he recovers.
Singapore lawmaker Jamus Lim has been hospitalized with pneumonia after what he described as a case of Influenza A worsened over the weekend. The Workers’ Party MP for Sengkang GRC said his blood oxygen level dropped to the low 90s, prompting his admission after he had planned to take only the rest of the week off. Lim had been seen sniffling during an Oct. 6 parliamentary speech, when PAP MP Diana Pang handed him a tissue. In a message to residents in Anchorvale, Lim said he cannot attend his usual duties for now, including the Oct. 12 Meet-the-People Session, house visits and estate walks. He said Team Sengkang volunteers will keep the session running as usual while he works through appeal letters and email from the hospital.
