A Singapore court sentenced M.S. Chandru Suryakanth, 59, to 12 weeks in jail after he admitted molesting a woman at a Sembawang supermarket and later exposing his genitals to a police officer. Court documents said Chandru touched the victim's thigh at about 11.45pm on April 7 as she was leaving after paying for groceries. The woman shouted at him, called her husband and police arrested him soon after. At Woodlands Police Divisional Headquarters, a 24-year-old female officer asked him to remove the drawstring from his track pants during a body search. Instead, he pulled his pants down to his knees, exposing himself. He pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exposure and one count of outrage of modesty.
