Singapore clears Medicube cream sales, recalls 2 batches over dye

Singapore regulators allowed sales of unaffected batches of Medicube’s PDRN Pink Collagen Capsule Cream to resume after tests found banned Sudan IV dye only in two batches sold by Venus Beauty. The Health Sciences Authority had halted sales by APR SG, Venus Beauty and Rirora International on July 31 while it examined samples, then ordered a recall of the affected Venus batches on Aug. 26. The recalled batch numbers are 2E122I.2E117I and 2E191G.2E193G. HSA said the detected amounts were minute and unlikely to pose serious health risks from past use, and it has received no local reports of adverse events. As an added safeguard, every batch intended for sale in Singapore must now test negative at an accredited lab before release.
