Singapore civil servants get 0.45-month bonus, up to S$400 extra
Why it matters: The payout tops last year’s 0.4-month midyear bonus, while the government warned economic downside risks remain significant.
Singapore civil servants will receive a 0.45-month midyear bonus, with lower-grade officers getting an additional one-time payment of up to S$400. The Public Service Division said officers in grades equivalent to MX13(I) and MX14 will get S$250, while those in MX15 and MX16 and the Operations Support Scheme will receive S$400. The payout was set after considering first-quarter economic performance and continued risks to the outlook. Singapore’s economy grew 6% from a year earlier in January through March, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry kept its 2026 GDP growth forecast at 2% to 4%. Public sector unions and the government will review conditions later this year before setting year-end payments.
