Singapore charges man, 26, over 5 illegal massage shops and fire
What's new: Prosecutors also tied him to a scam case after he allegedly sold his bank account access to a syndicate for S$500.
A 26-year-old man was charged in Singapore after police linked him to five unlicensed massage outlets, a fire and a scam-related bank account case. Investigators said the outlets operated without valid licenses in Little India, Beach Road, Macpherson Road, Serangoon Garden and Balestier Road after enforcement checks between June and December 2025. In a separate case, the man allegedly dropped a lit cigarette from the fourth floor of a building on Admiralty Street in October 2021, causing a fire. Police also alleged he gave his bank account and internet banking credentials to a criminal syndicate in September 2024 for S$500, and the account was later used in scam operations.
