Singapore charges 25-year-old in Tuas killing of 29-year-old man

A 25-year-old man is set to be charged with murder in the death of a 29-year-old man in Tuas, Singapore police said Sunday. Officers were called at about 10:10 p.m. Saturday to Tuas South Street 15 toward Tuas South Avenue 14, where they found the older man lying motionless on the road. A Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic pronounced him dead at the scene. Police arrested the suspect within four hours of the call. Preliminary investigations indicate the two men knew each other. The man is due in court Monday on a murder charge under Section 302(1) of the Penal Code, an offense that carries the death penalty. The investigation is ongoing.
