What's new: Commercial vehicle permits hit a record S$94,000, while the gap between Category A and B narrowed to just S$980.
Singapore's latest Certificate of Entitlement bidding exercise closed mixed on June 4, with the Category A premium for smaller cars and eligible EVs rising 1.4% to S$126,009, its highest level in nearly eight months. Category B, for larger and more powerful cars and EVs, fell 1.9% to S$126,989, leaving a gap of only S$980. Commercial vehicle permits climbed 1.9% to a record S$94,000, while motorcycle permits rose 3.2% to S$10,000. The open category edged down to S$129,000. A total of 4,920 bids were submitted for 3,215 available permits. The Land Transport Authority urged buyers and dealers to bid prudently, citing sustained demand after a recent Car Expo and stronger registrations of electric heavy goods vehicles and buses since January.
