Simpeda savings balances reached Rp74.86 trillion in June 2026. The Association of Regional Development Banks, or Asbanda, said the result reflected customer trust in regional development banks across Indonesia and strengthened a retail funding source for financing in the regions. Asbanda Chairman Agus H. Widodo said the next challenge is not only adding accounts and balances, but making Simpeda more relevant to changing customer behavior. As a result, Asbanda is urging 27 BPDs to expand Simpeda's functions for payments, transfers, shopping, merchant transactions and other financial services. According to Asbanda, the network of 27 BPDs provides local strength that can be linked into a national retail banking franchise based in the regions.
