SIA, Air India open 126 weekly Singapore-India flights from Oct. 15

What's new: Travelers can book eligible one-airline codeshare flights through either carrier, while added loyalty perks begin in 2027.

Singapore Airlines and Air India will let travelers book eligible Singapore-India codeshare flights on a standalone basis through either airline from Oct. 15, expanding options across 126 weekly flights to eight Indian cities. The routes cover Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai. Until now, an Air India flight booked through SIA had to be paired with an SIA-operated segment, and vice versa. The change is the first phase of a commercial cooperation pact signed in January. The carriers already codeshare on 77 destinations in 27 countries and territories. From the second quarter of 2027, KrisFlyer and Maharaja Club members on eligible routes will get wider reciprocal benefits, including priority check-in, boarding and extra baggage for some tiers.
