Israeli strike near Nuseirat market kills 8 in Gaza
20 others were wounded, as a ceasefire Gaza authorities say has been violated leaves more than 1,000 dead.
At least eight Palestinians were killed and 20 others wounded after an Israeli strike hit a crowd near the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip on Friday (17/7). The Al-Awda Medical Complex said the victims were taken there after the strike in the market area near Nuseirat. Other reports said a drone strike occurred as people gathered for a funeral procession outside Ahmad Yassin Mosque. The incident adds to Gaza's toll even though a ceasefire has been in place since 10 October 2025. According to Gaza health authorities, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect, while the overall death toll since the war broke out on 7 October 2023 has surpassed 73.000 people.
