Selangor ramps up medical tourism in Indonesia through MHX 2026
The Jakarta push targets Indonesia's market, which accounted for 6 percent of Selangor's foreign visitors.
Tourism Selangor is stepping up promotion of medical tourism in Indonesia through its Heal & Explore Selangor concept at the Malaysia Healthcare Expo Indonesia 2026 at Central Park Mall in Jakarta on 15–18 October 2026. The program pairs health services with cultural, food, nature and leisure packages to attract Indonesian travelers. Selangor is highlighting direct access via KLIA, KLIA2 and Subang SkyPark to hospitals, hotels and tourist destinations. Institutions promoted include Sunway Medical Centre, Subang Jaya Medical Centre, Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara, KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital and Selgate Healthcare. Tourism Selangor data show Indonesia was the third-largest source of foreign visitors through March 2025, contributing 6 percent.
