Roy Suryo and Dokter Tifa detained in Jokowi diploma case

Investigators from Polda Metro Jaya detained Roy Suryo and Tifauziah Tyassuma, alias Dokter Tifa, on Friday morning, June 19, 2026, in the case over allegations of a fake diploma belonging to former Indonesian president Joko Widodo. Roy Suryo and Dokter Tifa's legal team confirmed both were picked up from their respective locations in the morning. According to an explanation from the criminal investigation directorate at Polda Metro Jaya, the action was taken as part of the transfer of suspects and evidence, or stage II, to prosecutors at Kejaksaan Tinggi DKI Jakarta after the case file was declared complete, or P21. Police also said the step was intended to ensure the suspects' physical presence, undergo medical checks, and provide final confirmation of the evidence. Roy Suryo and Dokter Tifa had already been named suspects in November 2025.
