RI, Kazakhstan prepare 20+ agreements ahead of Prabowo visit
Kazakhstan says the package will cover trade, investment, digitalization, tourism and education for next year's visit.
Indonesia and Kazakhstan are moving to deepen bilateral ties through a series of high-level meetings and preparations for President Prabowo Subianto's visit to Kazakhstan next year. Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Indonesia Serzhan Abdykarimov said the two countries are drawing up a comprehensive package of more than 20 bilateral agreements in trade, investment, digitalization, tourism and education. Indonesia's Foreign Ministry said the intensity of high-level contact over the past two years has opened opportunities to expand cooperation in politics, the economy, culture and people-to-people ties. In May 2026, the two countries will hold a Joint Commission on Economic Partnership session in Astana, followed by a visit by Deputy Foreign Minister Anis Matta to Kazakhstan in June 2026.
