RAPBN 2027 Raises social protection budget to Rp549.9 trillion
The figure is up 8.2 percent from 2026 and covers PKH for 10 million families and PBI JKN for 96.8 million participants.
The government has allocated Rp549.9 trillion for social protection spending in the RAPBN 2027, up 8.2 percent from Rp508.2 trillion in 2026. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the funds will continue cash aid and subsidies, while improving targeting through DTSEN and digitalizing assistance. Coverage includes PKH for 10 million beneficiary families, the sembako program for 17.8 million families, PIP for 22.1 million students, KIP Kuliah for 1.1 million students, and PBI JKN for 96.8 million participants. The government also plans KUR subsidies for 5.1 million debtors. Under the RAPBN 2027 framework, state spending is planned at Rp4.097,2 triliun with a deficit of 2.40 percent of GDP.
