Quinn Effendi leads MCGJWC 2026 after 6-under in Jakarta

Jennifer Quinn Effendi led the first day of the Mandiri Ciputra Golfpreneur Junior World Championship 2026 at Damai Indah Golf, PIK Course, Jakarta, on Wednesday after posting a 66, or 6-under. The 13-year-old Indonesian golfer topped the girls division by one stroke over Thailand's Kanyarak Pongpithanon, who carded a 67. Quinn recorded seven birdies and one bogey, backed by sharp approach shots and solid putting. She said the score was her best in the tournament so far. The race remains open over the next two days, with Kanyarak and Marisa Tojai, who shot 69, her closest challengers. MCGJWC 2026 runs June 10-12 and features 140 junior golfers from 29 countries.
