Purbaya and Perry meet in DPR to strengthen coordination
The Saturday meeting in Senayan reviewed the economy and aligned fiscal and monetary policy as the rupiah came under pressure.
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa and Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo attended a meeting at the DPR complex in Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday (6/6/2026), along with State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi and Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad. The meeting was used to review economic developments and to tighten coordination on fiscal and monetary policy. Prasetyo said global economic challenges require the government, Bank Indonesia and other authorities to support one another so stability is maintained. He also cited BI and Finance Ministry data that he said show Indonesia’s economic fundamentals remain fairly strong. The government, he said, will continue promoting programs in food, energy, fisheries, industrialization and digitalization to accelerate growth and support the rupiah.
