Punggol crash flips car, 29-year-old driver arrested for drink driving

A 29-year-old man was arrested for drink driving after a two-car crash in Punggol on June 9 left one vehicle flipped onto its side. Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force were alerted at about 8:15 p.m. to the junction of Edgefield Plains and Punggol Drive. One person was assessed for minor injuries but declined transport to a hospital, and police said no injuries were reported. Photos and video from the scene showed a black car on its side, with bystanders trying to break the windshield before emergency crews arrived. The crash also damaged the road divider and knocked down a traffic light pole. Police investigations are ongoing.
