PSS Sleman closes tuneup with 6-1 win over Persiku
The Maguwoharjo match was PSS's final warmup before opening the 2026/2027 Super League away to Bali United on September 4.
PSS Sleman closed its preseason tuneup series with a 6-1 victory over Persiku Kudus at Maguwoharjo Stadium in Sleman on Saturday. After the match, coach Pieter Huistra said the most suitable lineup was becoming clearer and the teamwork among players was starting to take shape ahead of the BRI Super League 2026/2027. He said the tuneups were also used to test different positions and rotate players to measure fitness, stamina and individual performance. Huistra said players' form can change from week to week, so evaluation remains necessary. The match against Persiku was PSS's final tuneup before the competition begins in early September. In the first week, PSS is scheduled to travel to Bali United at Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium in Gianyar, Bali, on Saturday, 4 September, at 19.00 WIB.
