Priske scores 2 as Birmingham beats Lincoln 3-1 in Championship
What's new: The win lifted Birmingham into second place, at least temporarily, after last week's loss at Cardiff.
August Priske scored in each half as Birmingham City beat Lincoln City 3-1 on Saturday in the Championship, bouncing back from their defeat at Cardiff. Birmingham took the lead in the 16th minute when a misdirected ball from Yunus Konak fell to Priske, who turned and fired low into the corner. Priske made it 2-0 on the hour from a flicked-on long throw. Lincoln cut the deficit three minutes later through substitute Tom Bayliss after Mikkel Ladefoged laid the ball into his path. Alex Cochrane restored Birmingham's two-goal cushion in the 73rd minute with a left-foot finish. The result moved Birmingham into second place, at least for the time being.
