Pramono bars DKI ASN from meetings if they are 1-2 minutes late
The rule is meant to end a habit of meetings at Balai Kota Jakarta starting as much as 30 minutes late.
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has barred civil servants in the DKI Jakarta provincial government from joining meetings if they arrive late, including by just one or two minutes. He is imposing the policy as part of efforts to build a more disciplined and professional work culture. Pramono said meetings at Balai Kota had often run as much as half an hour behind schedule. Now, when he chairs a meeting, employees who arrive late will be told not to join so the forum can start on time. He said meetings are a place for decision-making in the DKI Jakarta provincial government, so punctuality must be maintained. He also stressed that decisions are not made personally, but through open meetings.
