Prabowo appoints Nanik Deyang to lead BGN after Dadan case
Nanik was chosen for her strict evaluation, monitoring and discipline in enforcing MBG operating standards.
President Prabowo Subianto has appointed Nanik Sudaryati Deyang as head of the National Nutrition Agency, replacing Dadan Hindayana. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said Nanik was selected because she has experience as a deputy head of BGN, understands the agency's work process and is known for being strict in evaluation and monitoring. Prasetyo said that firmness is needed to improve governance and maintain the quality of meals in the Free Nutritious Meals program. He also said Nanik is disciplined in carrying out standard operating procedures and will be sworn in next week. Dadan was removed as head of BGN and later named by the Attorney General's Office as a suspect in an alleged corruption case along with two other BGN leaders, Sony Sanjaya and Lodewyk Pusung.
