Prabowo receives Thai military medal at Merdeka Palace

President Prabowo Subianto received a Thai military honor, the Special Warfare Command, Royal Thai Army medal, when he met Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at Istana Merdeka in Jakarta on Monday (3/8). On the occasion, Anutin said Prabowo is respected by the Thai Armed Forces and admired by many young generals in his country. He said senior Thai military leaders entrusted the medal to be given to Prabowo. Prabowo said the award came as a surprise and viewed it as a reflection of trust, friendship and the close ties between Indonesia and Thailand. Anutin also voiced a commitment to continue strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries.
