Prabowo inspects new housing for former Senen rail-side residents

Residents relocated after the March visit now live in temporary housing built with shared kitchens, baths and security features.

President Prabowo Subianto inspected new housing for residents who had previously lived beside the railway tracks near Stasiun Senen in Jakarta on Friday night. During the visit, Prabowo spoke with residents and looked inside the housing units. According to the President's official post, the housing is intended to provide a more decent, safe and comfortable place to live for the families. The visit followed Prabowo's walk-through of the settlement in the area in March 2026, when he heard residents' appeals for more decent housing. ANTARA reported the project includes 324 temporary housing units and communal facilities, including a shared kitchen, washing area, separate toilets, open space, a children's play area, a single-entry system and CCTV.
